Lainey Wilson Announces Engagement to Devlin 'Duck' Hodges

Country music star Lainey Wilson has announced her engagement to former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges after four years of dating. Wilson shared the news on Instagram with a heartfelt post captioned "4x4xU forever ❤️," referencing her 2024 song "4x4xU," which was inspired by their relationship.

The proposal took place at the late country legend George Jones' manor in Franklin, Tennessee. Wilson posted photos and a video capturing the romantic moment, including images of the couple holding hands, kissing, and Wilson showcasing her engagement ring.

Wilson and Hodges met through mutual friends in Nashville in 2021 and made their red-carpet debut at the ACM Awards in May 2023. Hodges, who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Rams, retired from professional football in 2022 and has since become a licensed real estate agent.

In her song "4x4xU," Wilson sings about finding someone who provides the comfort and peace of home wherever they are, a sentiment she attributes to her relationship with Hodges. She has expressed that he is her "cheerleader" and appreciates her independence as an artist.

Wilson's "Whirlwind" world tour is set to begin in Zurich on March 4 and will conclude in Orlando on November 8.
